High-availability systems
What are high-availability systems, and why use them?
The platforms provided by Glifix are based on an architecture of open source modules that form high-availability systems.
A high-availability system is designed to withstand individual component failures and continue operating without interruption.
The system works much like a reserve parachute in skydiving. It is rarely needed, but no skydiver goes without one.
